Texas to New York and back to Texas

I go around the city to research the market in the stores for work. One of our top competitors is Gap. I snapped these photos a few months back as inspiration for future concept! And..maybe even an interior decor inspiration for my apartment! I LOVE DENIM. And guess what else? - I LOVE TEXAS AND NY, haha. The perfect combo.

DIY Chocolate Centered Flowers

With a full-time job, I'm constantly learning and practicing illustrator, photoshop, indesign, excel, PDM/PLM, which means I'm on the computer all day-everyday! With that being said..I'm slowly gravitating more towards hands on, crafty projects on my time off, like this one here:
I made this for my mom and boyfriend over the holidays and had loads of fun doing it! It's a perfect little gift for someone special and can be quite therapeutic ;) If you're interested in learning how it's done, read on. (Sorry for no pictures in this process yet.)

Materials:

  • Tape (lots of it),
  • Tissue papers in assorted colors (pick a color palette you want to work with before starting!)
  • Thin wooden sticks - you can find these at any art store like Michaels or Hobby Lobby if you're in Texas!
  • Floral tape and green wire
  • Party streamers
  • Chocolate of choice (try to pick one that is wrapped with loose ends like the lindt chocolate that I chose here, so that it's easier to tape down to the sticks)
  • Jar (optional)
  • Some pretty/decorative stones or little balls to add to the bottom of the jar!
  • Ribbon
  • Sharpener
Photos on how to make it with descriptions to help follow will be added soon!
